Our Reading Journey
Welcome to The Reading Hive! We are located in Pinellas County, FL and provide online services to students near and far. We focus on improving basic reading skills in children by utilizing methods backed by The Science of Reading. All of our tutors hold valid educator licenses and are experienced in teaching reading.
Our areas of expertise include phonics, phonological awareness, fluency, and spelling. As these skills improve, reading comprehension is also likely to improve. We are experienced working with students with and without disabilities, including but not limited to dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. Our services are tailored to meet your child's individual needs.

I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who works with children, educators, and families. I earned an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Central Florida after attending Arizona State University for my bachelor's degree in psychology.
I have 6 years of experience as a School Psychologist. In this role, I screen students for reading difficulties, select and facilitate the implementation of interventions, monitor student progress, problem solve, and assess for disabilities. The work that I provide to our most struggling readers has made me recognize the need for more accessible, intensive reading support. Being a strong reader is the key to success in nearly every subject area in school and is a necessary skill for most jobs. I am passionate about helping children learn to read so they can be more successful in life!
